A bag of Nike swag

I was pretty pleased to open a bag stuffed with Nike goodies this morning!

A friend may have referred to me as 'all the gear, but no idea', but I definitely believe that having a decent bit of kit not only makes your training easier, but increases your motivation too. Hell, something's got to get me trekking around the park in the mornings - and the promise of coffee doesn't have quite the same sway as fresh new trainers!
Swag includes:
Nike Dry Fit technology waterproof training trousers with wide elastane waistband and zip fasten pockets
Nike Dry Fit technology cotton elastane stretch capri jogging bottoms
Nike Dry Fit technology training tank & crop tops with breasthable air vents
Nike Plus trainers with in-built training monitor and diamond sole designed to increase mobility

Wateraid's work

WaterAid is an international non governmental organisation whose mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities.

WaterAid believe that clean water and sanitation is a basic human right, and one which is central to health and livelihood. Working both locally and internationally, the charity aims to help people overcome poverty by providing them this basic human need, whether it be by providing water pumps or educational tools.
This is a charity whose work I truly believe in, and I hope you will too. For more information on Wateraid, please visit www.wateraid.org

What a week

I haven't had a chance to go running once! Yule tide is upon us, and instead of my excuse for not running being a string of boozy Christmas parties, alas it is far duller - I've been working late every night this week.

And now it's started to snow! This doesn't bode well for me...but hopefully the weather in the country - where I'll soon be heading, will be better suiting for running? I doubt it though!

However - enough of the excuses. Lucy - who I will be introducing very soon, and I went running last Sunday. We paced the streets of Limehouse, Victoria Park and Bethnal Green, and did a total of 6 miles. I'm only too aware that it's not a touch on the distance we've got to do - but it's a start right?!

Running in Lisbon

Back in freezing London I wasn't feeling very inspired to get out running in the ice, so when I went to Lisbon with work last week I packed my running shoes with the intention of being a good girl, and was pleased I had when I check-in to the hotel and found out that it had a roof top running track!

The view from which has to be one of the best in town non?!

Unfortunately it rained all week so I didn't get much of a chance to do any aerial running, but I did run on a treadmill with an equally spectcular view!

North London doesn't quite compare after that.
